He's picked directly from 1945 and the very day that Germany officially surrenders. So he's fresh from the war he himself started and lost big times. But it's not like he would have smiled more if I went with any other year, so... I'm pretty sure he'll be okay. Or at least as okay as he can possibly be.

Not that Prussia's going to have any idea who he is, other than that he's carrying a picture of him in his wallet for some strange reason. Yes perfect I love that picture! But yeah, I'm really excited to see how these two bounce off each other, since no two Germanys are exactly alike.

And unfortunately I can't, because I'm entering the fourth of a four-week program that takes place in Hessen (Marburg, to be precise), I haven't been able to head over to eastern Germany at all. :( I really wanted to but with coursework and planned-weekends from the program, it just proved to be impossible.

But yes, studying! German language and European-Arabic relations at the Philipps-Universität Marburg. I saw that your timezone is European -- are you German/speak German? Because if you do, I have to apologize in advance for how poor my German really is.

Awww, that's too bad. Being stuck in in a planned program must be tough. I haven't gone there myself yet, but I was planning to as long as I'm still on vacation. But you sould be close to Kassel if I'm not mistaken. And it's a Documenta year...

Yes, I'm German. So as long as you excuse eventual grammar slips in my English, I'll happily endure every mistake in your German. In fact, if you have questions in regards of it, don't hesitate to ask, really. I myself don't go to school anymore but am part of our economy already, so RP and the internet is my only way to keep up using some English at least, seeing that I don't need it at work and stuff. But I'd hate to slowly forget the language... So I keep practicing it while doing something fun.

It's not too bad, because the planned weekends are really cool anyway; they're just no Potsdam. But yeah, Marburg is just about between Kassel and Frankfurt, so we actually did go see the Documenta! Some of it was really cool, some of it I feel went right over my head, but I enjoyed it~

Oh good. ;3; And please don't hesitate to point out any mistakes I make, either, so I'll be able to fix them later on. I have only one more year of studying left, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can before going out to join the rest of the economy outside the university-bubble.

The one Documenta I visited must already be about ten years ago, but it was awesome! Really enjoyed the Orangerie and all and even though I've been in Kassel for all the following Documentas as well, we just never got a chance to go there or at least look at some bits of it because... Well. We're actually rather visiting the Connichi there XP ...which may be why I'm always rather fond of hearing about anything in and around Kassel 8D

But sure thing. That's the only way for me to figure out my own mistakes as well after all ^^; ~ Or when I end up mixing up two similar words because... Dictionaries, really.

And I appreciate the speed, to be honest~ Gives me time to read stuff and catch up on things and not get lost due to living in this European timezone :)

What mostly kept me from actually getting into the game by now is a sudden business in RL, but I already have a potential IC intro in mind, so... Yay!
